“What an odd sight!” the fairy declared. The prince turned to see her sitting on a rock nearby, watching him. “I’ve never seen such a lazy beaver, watching a broken dam instead of fixing it!”
“This is no way to treat a prince.”
“Then show me a prince,” she said, standing, “and I will treat him differently.” Then she was gone.
